youth ensemble

A musical theatre experience—running late January through mid-March, 2025—for 4th through 8th graders in Hazel Park Schools. 

auditions (required):

Thursday, January 23, 3:30–6 p.m. at Hazel Park High School Auditorium [NEW DATE DUE TO COLD]

[bussing provided after signed permission slip returned to front office before Friday, January 17!]

**No preparation necessary; music and choreography will be taught at the audition. Be sure your child wears sneakers and comfortable clothing. They should bring a water bottle with their name on it, too!**

Assistant Director & Youth Ensemble Lead: Ms. Alison English

Ensemble Captains: Emily Hudnall (12th) & Bria Collins (11th)

Description: Your child can be introduced to the joy of musical theatre by performing in the high school production of James and the Giant Peach! Participants will receive training in acting, singing, dancing, and/or puppetry! [More info here.] 

Outcomes: Any committed participant will acquire skills in theatre appreciation, self-confidence, effective collaboration, and artistry that will help them contribute more meaningfully to creative projects. Additionally, students will foster connections with peers and industry professionals.

 

💰 THERE'S NO COST TO AUDITION. If cast, there is a $50 fee [for a show T-shirt and some production costs]; $10 discount if paid no later than the first rehearsal!
